Boiling Bolt Review

You play as the character June and your goal is to save the city you live in. The game is played as a shoot em up. You have to dash and shoot your way to save the city you live in and love.
The game isn't all perfect. One thing I personally didn't like was the fact that I wasn't able to shoot up or down. This simple mechanic bothered me a lot and was frustrating when playing some levels. One thing that is great about this game compared to most shoot em ups is that in this game you can dash through bullets that are being shot at you. If you dash at the right time however, it will trigger a slow-motion scene so you can dodge even more after the dodge.
There are many things you can do with combining your abilities but most of the time you’re just dodging and trying to get a shot here and there. What the goal is to make sure you try to avoid damage first by going behind the enemy and trying to deal damage from behind. If that is possible to achieve you'll be able to get free shots unless if the enemies shoot behind them. This game also has a levelling up system in which you can get points to put into these abilities which can range anywhere from extra health to extra damage.
However, be careful and try to balance out what you are buying. Because if you only buy defense in the beginning it will make it so you can take so much but not deal enough damage to clear zones faster. If you find yourself struggling you are able to have a friend over and play some couch coop which can help out if/when your struggling.
